Lisa Harris, owner of Enduring Fitness 4U, is proud to announce that her company was awarded a top honor in the 2015 Inland Empire Small Business Competition!
The competition was sponsored by Wells Fargo Bank and was a collaborative effort of Coachella Valley Women’s Business Center (CVWBC), Inland Empire Women’s Business Center (IEWBC) and Inland Empire Small Business Development Center (IESBDC).
“When I received the email congratulating me on the win, I was shocked!” said Harris. “First, this was my first YouTube video (a requirement for the competition), and second, you never know who you’re going up against.” Harris plans to use the prize money to outsource some of the administrative tasks of her business, freeing her to continue creating more services for clients.
The small business competition was a regional competition opened to persons 18 years or older who own a business that has been in operation for at least one year, with five or fewer employees and is located in Riverside or San Bernardino County. Four winners were each awarded a cash stipend of $2,500 to support the expansion and growth of their business.
The winners were selected by a panel of judges overseen by Jack Olree of Wells Fargo, and were judged on the quality and clarity of the Executive Summary submitted, as well as the video created. “Wells Fargo was delighted to support SBDCIE, CVWBC, and IEWBC’s 2015 Inland Empire Small Business Competition. We had been looking for a vehicle to help local businesses as well as raise awareness surrounding the tools and resources that these great organizations provide to our business community, and the contest proved to be the perfect way to do so,” said Jack Olree, Wells Fargo’s Community Development Vice President for the Inland Empire.
